Passed away peacefully on Tuesday 6th November 2007 at 06:50 am at Hope Hospital - Salford - Manchester

Maria lived in Hilltop, Slaithwaite, Huddersfield
Maria was the loving mother of linsey and mother in law to Steve. Also a devoted and adoring to one year old Mille Rose.
Maria leaves behind her dad, Alec and step mother Sandra. She was a sister to Anthony, Alec, Annette and Alison and sister in law to Dawn and Sue. Also , marias neices and nephews - Steven, Michael, Hannah, Luke and Carys
On 24th October 2007, Maria collapsed suddenly at work at 06:40am and was later diagnosed as having a Sub Arachnoid Brain Haemmorage. Maria was transferred later that day to Hope Hospital in Marnchester where she was in intensive care. Over the next 13 days, she had several different brain surgery operations , but sadly passed away peacefully at 06:50 hours on 6th November . Surrounded with her family for her support maria was a fighter to the end.
Maria was my darling mum. She was kind, loving, caring and brought a smile to all those who knew her. Never without a cup of coffee or a cigaratte is how she would have like to be remebered. Not only a mum - but my best friend - I will miss her greatly and thank her for everything she ever did for me. Without her, I am nothing and I hope that she is in heaven watching out for me.
Aswell as being a mum - maria was a fantastic grandma to Millie rose - who very sadly only got to know her for a year.
Mum - I will make sure Millie never forgets you - I have told her that you are now her guardian angel and will be looking out for her as she is growing up.
Words can not explain how much we will all miss you - I am the luckiest person alive to have had you as my mum.

hey maria often think of the good times we had at wessen court all the practical jokes i played on you and the proper belly laughs we had. always remember wen you and june got me with intercom so i got u bac by ringin in my posh voice tellin you because u gt lady from marina kennels that we have a draw every year and you had won a years supply of dog food in this draw oh my god how you got so excited because you had never won owt you whooped and screamed you were that excited you was going t get lyndsay t take you dwn and get it you really believed it. and then when i had to come to work there you was waitin for me i nearly peed myself laughing and so did you. miss them times we had gud laughs. hope wherever you are your happy because i know you sure were before you went. take care my friend x look over your family x x x x x

Hi there Maria,I've recently started working nights at Meadow Court, I work with your good friend little Sue.We've been talking about you and what good friends you and Sue were. I know that she wasn't looking forward to yesterday morning as it was the 1st anniversary of when you collapsed.I'd offered to work with Sue that night as I consider her a good friend even though I've only known her a short time.She dealt with it in her own way and thourght about you, as she so often does. Sue said I'd of liked you and gotten on well with you as you were a 'bit of a nutter' Sounds like you had some fun times, God only knows the reason why he took you so soon. Been thinking about you since your birthday. seen lots of white feathers which my friend tells me is a sign that someone who has passed away is near and I know that it is you!! I also met a chap who is psychic and he mentioned you too!!!!!

Mum - could not bear writing this on the day of your birthday - today somehow feels easier. Bought some of your favourite flowers for our window - thought you would like them. Been to meadow court and planted a tree for you - bet you would have spent many a day smoking by it.
Things will never be the same - i tell millie every day about you and your photos are all over the house - we will never forget you.

Well it's just over a fortnight i got married.we had a great day everyone enjoyed themselves and you would have had a ball.Millie was a little angel and looked adorable. You would have been so proud(grandma) A few expected tears were shed but linsey was brave as always. Both me and dave feel short changed without you there.But your always in our thoughts X
Think about u every day mum. Trying to keep things together like you would have wanted. Still feels like yesterday that i lost you. Hope you are ok up there.you can sleep easy now with knowing how many fags you used to smoke! Miss you always x x love millie and me x
